Die Vanille stammt aus dem tropischen Amerika(Mexiko<\/a>), aber erst mit der Entdeckung der Neuen Welt durch die Konquistadoren wurde sie in Europa bekannt.<\/p>

Die Mexikaner verwendeten Vanille<\/a> schon sehr lange und nannten sie nach dem aztekischen Namen „Tlilxochill<\/strong>“ oder „Schwarze Schote“.<\/p>

\n Hernando Cortez<\/span>\n<\/a>wurde der Eroberer Mexikos von\n der Kaiser Moctezuma<\/a>\n<\/span> in goldenen Bechern Schokolade zu probieren, die mit dem Aroma von \n vanille<\/strong>\n<\/a>. Er war wahrscheinlich der erste Europ\u00e4er, der dieses Gew\u00fcrz probierte.<\/p>

Obwohl die Azteken das Geheimnis der Aromatisierung sorgf\u00e4ltig verborgen hielten, entdeckten es die Konquistadoren und ab 1510 wurde die Vanille<\/strong> <\/a>nach Spanien und ab 1604 nach Frankreich eingef\u00fchrt, wo sie h\u00e4ufig bei der Zubereitung von Kaffee und Schokolade verwendet wurde.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts wurden Setzlinge nach Java<\/strong>, dann nach La R\u00e9union<\/a><\/strong> und Mauritius<\/strong> verschifft, um dort den Anbau der wertvollen Vanille zu versuchen, aber in Ermangelung einer nat\u00fcrlichen Best\u00e4ubung durch \n ein Insekt aus Mexiko<\/a>\n<\/span>war der Anbau auf diesen Inseln unm\u00f6glich.<\/p>

Die erste k\u00fcnstliche Best\u00e4ubung des Vanillebaums wurde 1836 im botanischen Garten von L\u00fcttich durch \n Charles Morren<\/span>\n<\/a>Im Jahr 1841 ersann der junge Sklave Edmond Albius<\/a><\/span> das Verfahren, das noch heute angewendet wird.<\/p>

Ab 1848 begann der Anbau auf derInsel R\u00e9union<\/a> (damals besser bekannt als “ Ile Bourbon<\/strong> „), den Seychellen (1866), Madagaskar<\/a> (1871), den Komoren<\/a> (1891), Tahiti<\/a> (1898), Uganda und Ceylon (1912).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
